OPINION ESSAY

Nowadays, technological progress have contributed that people tend to communicate via WhatsApp, Facebook and so on, and not face-to-face, and from my point of view this is a very serious error.

First of all, we think that with this new type of communication, real relationships with some friends or family change for worst.  Can we express feelings through the screen of a mobile phone?                                                                                                                                              

In my point of view, face-to-face communication is completely different, because, sometimes not only the words we have to say to a person are important, but the facts, the silences to explain these words are important too.

Secondly, this type of communication affects the basic things like love. Love needs constancy, stand near the other person, talking to them face-to-face and not sending hearts through WhatsApp. Because sometimes, due to letting us to influence by these advanced communications, we lose love.

All in all, communication with mobile phones is okay to talk with a person that is far away, but if we abuse them, it is bad for all relationships.

In conclusion, we hope that society will change their ways in the future because we can’t lose face-to-face communication! 

Summary of the video: Columbus day in US sees celebration and protest

This video talks about Colombus day in US. People from United States, the second Monday of every October, celebrates the day that Christopher Colombus discovered America and commemorating the history of Native American peoples. But, not all the people are agree with this type of celebration.

From one hand, people who are against it, are indigenous and human rights, and they question the legacy of Colombus day, because is not acknowledged and contains a dark reality. Here arguments are that people who are living there before this expedition, most of them died. These deaths were because of colonizers that caused greats exterminations.

From the other side, people who are agree with this national holiday, don’t go to work or school. The argument that they defend this holiday are that thanks to this discovery has knowledge  advanced.

 

In conclusion, we can see the different opinions from this National holiday in United States.

Esther Guerrero signs for New Balance team

Last week, Esther Guerrero, who is an important middle-distance runner, signed for New Balance Team.

Esther Guerrero Puigdevall, was born in Banyoles on 7 February 1990. She started to compete with Juvenile category twelve years ago and from there she began to excel. 
This athlete is the athletics coach of CN Banyoles, and last September "Club Natació Banyoles" awarded her with the best sportwoman 2014.
On the whole, Esther is a female middle-distance runner who has competed in most of the important competitions like the Athletics Spanish Championships, where she became the woman's 800 metres indoor and outdoor champion.

Nevertheless, this isn't the only competition she has participated in. Esther Guerrero has also competed far her house, in the World Championships in Athletics, in Bejing, China, which is considered one of the most important competitions ion the world.
In addition, she has just signed for New Balance team because she is searching new offer and aims. 
The runner is phocused on qualifying for the European Championships in July 2016. 
Another of her objectives is to take part in the Olympic Games in Brazil next summer 2016.

Finally, Esther Guerrero and her coach remark, in relation to her signing "the new team has a motivating and innovating project which meets my goals."
Lastly, no doubt, Esther will become the next star runner.

I’ve just seen your email!

How are you? And your father? Clara told me that the hospital where he stays is the best in the country. I hope he gets better soon!

My mother’s birthday was last week, but we celebrated it last Friday, because she had a lot of work correcting her students’ exams.

My father, Mar and I organized a surprise party together.                                                                 First we thought about the kind of party that we wanted to celebrate.                                          

Later, we went to Apolo theatre, and we rented the space.                                                                       At the same moment, Mar went to the supermarket and bought all the arrangements for the party.                                                                                                                                                           Meanwhile, Clàudia and all the cousins helped us with the desserts. They prepared a huge cake that was spectacular and delicious.                                                                                                                We invited all the family, friends and teachers who work with her. We were approximately a hundred people.

She didn’t know anything about this party. When she arrived at the space, my mother couldn’t stop crying. The party went phenomenal. It was very exciting and fantastic.

Do you want to know the present we gave her? We bought her a new car, concretely an Audio A5.
